Meet Dave & Julie Dick

Dave Dick has been the Executive Director of the Hartstone Bible Camp since 2014.
He was born and raised in Ukiah California and became a Christian in high school.

He graduated from The Master’s University in 2005 with a degree in Biblical Studies.

While attending college, he met his wife, Julie, and together they began building a life centered on serving Christ and His church. Following graduation, Dave joined the staff of Ukiah Bible Church as an Associate Pastor, overseeing student ministries and worship ministries.

Dave has a deep love for worship through music. He enjoys singing, playing guitar, writing music, and helping God's people express their love for Christ through song. In his earlier years as a Christian, he had the opportunity to be a part of a Christian rock band called “Room 3" and recently he and Julie have been producing Christian children’s music under the name “Potter’s Clay."

Regarding the Christian Camping Ministry, Dave has long had a special appreciation for it and the unique opportunities it provides for spiritual growth, discipleship, and life transformation in the salvation of souls. Because God used a Christian camp as a significant part of his own testimony, Dave loves to watch and participate with what God does in the lives of people when they can get away from the normal routine of life and come to a special place in the mountains and experience God through His creation and through the proclamation of His Word.

In addition to his leadership at Hartstone, Dave has served in a variety of local ministry roles, pursued further theological training through Cornerstone Seminary, and is often a guest speaker for various Church Services, Camps/Retreats/Conferences, and Academic Chapels. Dave also serves on pastoral staff at the Ukiah Bible Church as the Executive Pastor. He helps oversee church administration, ministry operations, leadership development, and worship ministries.

Julie is a full-time wife, mother, and homeschool teacher. She also serves as Hartstone’s Secretary and Administrative Assistant to Dave. She enjoys ministering to the young women on staff and loves cooking for camp, church, and other special events. “Ministering to people through their tastebuds” is what she says. If you have had her cooking, you can truly taste the love! (Click here to read Julie’s testimony)

Dave and Julie have a deep love for Christ and His Church and are excited to serve in fulfilling Hartstone Bible Camp's Mission Statement, which is: "To share Christ's love by serving churches through a camp experience." Dave and Julie have four children and consider it a tremendous blessing to serve the Lord at Hartstone Bible Camp.

In high school, Joel and Kyrstyn first volunteered at Hartstone and then worked a couple of summers as seasonal part-time staff. They were married at Hartstone in June of 2018 and spent that summer serving on staff again. In the fall of 2018, they were hired on as full-time ministry staff. Joel and Kyrstyn have 2 children and are enjoying serving the Lord together in the ministry of Hartstone.

SERVE AT HARTSTONE

Serve at Harstone Bible Camp!

Are you interested in joining the team at our Christian campground and conference retreat center in Northern California? Without the work of our team members, we would not be able to serve our campers and provide a Christ-centered camp experience for the many churches and ministries we serve throughout our area. Close to Blue Lakes, Lake Mendocino, Lake Pillsbury, and just an hour from the Mendocino Coast, Hartstone is a great place to serve the Lord while enjoying His marvelous creation.

Our spring and fall camps are primarily staffed using local volunteer and paid staff. We have paid positions in the summer and are closed during the winter season. The summer season normally runs from the beginning of June through the middle of August.

If you are interested in serving at Hartstone, please contact us.
